Course Descriptions
Songpreneurs Leadership Courses for 2025 are presented in semester themes.
Semester One: Statement Songs
Q1 – Writing Your Statement Song &
Q2 – Releasing Your Statement Song
In a time of turmoil, a song can be a saving grace.
What if you had the opportunity to leave a message for the next generation?
What to you want to say?
Enter Statement Songs.
Putting your feelings, beliefs, and stories in songs is a great way to use your creative gifts.
This semester we will study statement songs and explore what is important to our community members through songs show and tell.
In Q1, we’ll study song craft and self expression, writing our statement songs and looking at lessons from other statement songs – both hits and examples from our community.
In Q2, we cover the step-by-step independent release process, with a focus on cost effective methods of promotion.
Semester Two: Faces & Places
Q3 – Faces
Q4 – Places
Semester Two courses discuss famous people and places that shape our music landscape.
Learn more about the people and resources that can help and inspire you to succeed.
In Q3 Faces, we look at the people who impacted music through the ages and explore the lessons we can learn from their example.
In Q4 Places, we study places that have inspired the music scene around the world, and trace their impact past, present and future.
These courses help to expand our musical world beyond our normal comfort zone and expose us to lessons we would otherwise miss.
As songwriters we try to balance the intake with the output.
These two courses help us to stoke our creativity and stock up our hook books for writing with our fellow Songpreneurs Leaders.

Message from Songpreneurs Founder

A few years ago, I signed up for a college class online to study one of my lifelong passions. What I found out surprised me!

I paid $1500 for a class that was 8 weeks long, and the only thing to it was reading from the $200+ text book and answering the questions in the chapter via virtual quiz.

The teacher had no interaction with the class at all, and the only assignments were posting comments on other class members posts. I could have read the text on my own and gotten just as good (or way better) experience.

Instead of being disappointed, I was instead inspired and proud of the quality of service and education we provide here at Songpreneurs.
Here at Songpreneurs, we interact weekly in small group sessions.
We have 4 new eight-week classes per year with ongoing assignments and check ins.
Our members get together outside of class and write songs, and post them on our forum for discussion, praise, encouragement and feedback. It's a wonderful group of people from all walks of life coming together around the shared interest of songwriting and music business entrepreneurship.

While we are not currently an accredited college, I can tell you from personal experience and loads of positive testimonials that you will grow by leaps and bounds in a practical, useful way when you participate with our Songpreneurs development system.

Whether your interest is casual, moderate or serious, Songpreneurs is here to help you get to that next level with your original music.

See you soon around the campus.

Sincerely,

Additional Information
Songpreneurs get a lot of personal interaction with our pros and head instructor and often most of what you need, you get out of coming to class regularly and doing your assignments.
However, sometimes when you’re working on a special project or want to dive deeper into some area, you might want to do some private consulting.
Because time is limited, Songpreneurs only works with current Leadership Community members on private consulting retainer after 6 months of group involvement, or non-members can work with us as corporate clients, as time allows.
If you’re interested in booking some one-on-one consulting time, or need help producing your studio recording project, you can email us and we’ll send you the information and current rates.
